Provides a large list of current internet resources in the field of cartography. These include
links to: new and historical maps and atlases of the earth, oceans and space; international
catalogues of map collections; commercial and governmental providers of cartographic information;
cartographic and geographic societies, departments and servers. Maintains a worldwide calendar of
cartographic events and a monthly updated list of new sources of cartographic data.
Contains full colour physical maps, political maps as well as key facts and statistics on countries

An introductory guide to some of the map and reference sources available on the World Wide Web. The
maps are categorised by geographical region and there is also a thematic section which includes
interactive maps. The emphasis is on displayable maps (e.g. images) rather than digital
cartography (GIS). The page also provides links to Geodata information sources, weather maps and
imagery.
Old Maps is an internet service that provides images of nineteenth-century maps covering
the whole of Great Britain. The source of the maps is the Ordnance Survey (OS) County Series
1:10,560 scale First Edition Maps, originally published between 1846 and 1899. The database may
be searched by place name, address, coordinates, or a gazetteer which orders towns and villages
by county.
